The first university student VRAR development competition, jointly organized by VRCORE and Shanghai Jiaotong University, was held on the afternoon of December 25th at the Shanghai Jiaotong University Minhang Campus to hold the finals and award ceremony. The competition is aimed at university students and divides the country into four major competition areas, uniting hundreds of colleges and universities and covering more than 30 cities. After half a year of recruitment, more than 100 teams participated in the competition. After strict selection, 18 finalists were selected to compete for the award.
The event officially began at 13:00 in the afternoon. Xue Guangtao, deputy dean of the School of Electronic Information and Electrical Engineering of Shanghai Jiaotong University, gave the opening remarks. Xue Guangtao said that the development of any industry is inseparable from the training and stocking of talents. VRCORE founder & CEO Liu Pinshan said that the future of virtual reality technology will have a greater number of industry professionals and higher quality requirements. The competition was held to attract more students in school to understand VRAR technology, increase the popularity of VRAR technology in universities, and provide reserve forces and fresh blood for China's VRAR industry.
Du Junning, general manager of Shanghai Jiaoda Science and Technology Park Co., Ltd., said that Jiaoda University Science Park has been supporting the development of the VR industry and will continue to support the development of the VR industry in the future.
