Eindhoven, The Netherlands – March 27, 2018 – NXP Semiconductors NV (NASDAQ: NXPI) announces a new echo cancellation and noise reduction solution (ECNR) The solution significantly reduces the complexity of voice communications and enables car manufacturers to deliver a hands-free calling experience that is satisfying to consumers. This cost-effective solution combines innovative ECNR software that can be easily ported to NXP's leading in-vehicle radio and audio processing DSP1 or i.MX family of application processors. The solution has been pre-certified with ITU-T P1110 and CarPlay®.
Echo and noise make it difficult to talk on the road. The in-vehicle speaker produces an echo when transmitting a voice signal for an incoming call. Returning the echo to the microphone causes the caller to hear his or her own voice, distracting attention and possibly causing communication interruption. In addition, road noise from fans, exhaust pipes, tires, windows, and passengers can seep into the call, causing the call to be unrecognizable, ultimately damaging the driving experience and causing trouble.
The new NXP ECNR solution solves these two problems by eliminating echoes in the cockpit and filtering out unwanted noise, improving call quality. The ECNR solution can be ported to NXP-related chips and pre-certified with ITU-T P1110 and CarPlay®, thus reducing automakers' R&D costs and shortening the design cycle.
NXC Audio Solutions Marketing Director Alexandre Henon said: "There are more than 1 billion mobile phones 2 deployed by NXP ECNR software, and we also want to provide this market-proven leading 3 technology to automotive customers. We are based on the requirements of the automotive industry. The ECNR has been tuned and the software has been ported to two NXP chip families to provide customers with an easy-to-implement, flexible, and high-performance solution based on where customers need to run ECNR functionality."
NXP's ENCR solution SAF775x hardware options for car radio and audio processing on a single chip: The NXP SAF775x integrates up to two AM/FM tuners, automotive audio DSPs and an open HiFi2 core for advanced audio algorithms. The SAF775x features a rich analog and digital interface, a flexible audio mixer and filter structure, and core audio processing algorithms. The SAF775x series of radio and audio processing single-chip solutions are market-proven and are used in a wide range of automotive OEM platforms.
i.MX Application Processor for Automotive Infotainment: The i.MX Application Processor provides a scalable multi-core platform with features and performance, including single-core, dual-core and quad-core based on Arm®v7-A and Arm v8 architectures The solution has powerful processing power for neural networks, advanced graphics, machine vision, video, audio, voice and security-critical requirements.
The outdoor patch cable is four pairs of UTP/FTP/SSTP CMR cable, suitable for outdoor aerial and pipe, can prevent moisture intrusion.
The performance meets the requirements for the patch cables in ANSI/TIA/EIA-568B.In order to make the twisted pair in the movement of the wire will not break, except for the skin protective layer, the external PE also has a certain toughness.
At the same time, in order to facilitate the joint production and reliable connection, copper core should not be too soft, not too hard, too soft is not easy to joint production, too hard is easy to produce joint fracture; With the technological innovation, double-layer sheath can solve more technical problems of weak current system more effectively.
