Ganzhao Optoelectronics estimates that net profit in the first half of 2012 will fall by about 20% during the same period.

On July 13, Ganzhao Optoelectronics released the 2012 semi-annual performance forecast, which is expected to decline in the same direction. In the first half of 2012, the operating income of Ganzhao Optoelectronics was 19,324,800 yuan – 2005.81 million yuan, up 6%-10% compared with 18,237,400 yuan in the same period of last year. The net profit attributable to shareholders of the listed company was 63.26 million yuan –676.627 million yuan, down 23%-28% from the 87.786 million yuan in the same period of the previous year.

For the reason of the decline in the same direction, Ganzhao Optoelectronics said that the company's LED chip sales in the first half of 2012 increased by about 30% year-on-year, but the price of this chip has a large decline compared with the price of the same period last year, and the chip gross margin has dropped significantly. The company's net profit declined.
