Roy Taylor, Associate Vice President of AMD, recently praised the launch of the VR version of "Radiation 4", saying that it will be a "pioneering VR work" that will change the industry.
In his speech at the VR World Congress, Taylor related the work to Mario and compared it to Mario and Sonic in the VR industry. "It will change our view of VR," Taylor said. "It will be a work that changes the industry."
The VR version of "Radiation 4" is expected to be launched this year. Pete Hines, Bethesda’s vice president, said recently that the game will be offered on E3 this year.
In addition, Taylor also mentioned that the most difficult challenge facing the current VR industry is how to eliminate the problem of annoying connection lines. AMD is currently working with Nitero, a chip maker specializing in wireless VR, to try to overcome this problem.
"They greatly limited the freedom of action," Taylor said. “The most important thing for us to do next is to try to get rid of these nasty cables. I am happy to tell everyone that AMD has found a solution.â€
