VR is becoming a way for brands to show their products directly to users, or to directly visualize their use. However, since 360-degree video was originally designed for a single-player experience, multiplayer viewing has never been a 360-degree video priority option.
To solve this problem, a start-up from California, WeLens, provided a reliable solution, LensPass, allowing 360-degree video to be shown in commercial venues, showrooms, and other public venues. The company said that the LensPass solution is currently available on the market to manage and customize a wide range of 360-degree VR playback products.
James Levy, founder and CEO of WeLens, stated: "The other products on the market are very troublesome to install for the first time, and they can't control and track the equipment. As a result, it causes confusion, pressure, and technical costs."
The company stated that LensPass is the first VR projection product that can solve these problems. WeLens was founded in 2016 and specializes in VR projection solutions for brands, marketing and other advertising agencies. Current customers include National Geographic magazine, Hulu, Toyota and Clorox.

LensPass has built-in management dashboards, an application, and the LensPlayer video player. Apps and players need to be installed on every mobile device. The application can be interconnected with the player so that a small amount of text or branding can be placed on the screen.
Marketers can set up LensPass, such as having the screen display subtitles every 5 minutes. Or you can use the dashboard to control the playback of all VR heads. The video in the VR headset can be controlled by remote control. LensPass does not require the local user to control the playback and pause of the video, but is controlled by the administrator.
360-degree video can be played on local mobile devices or can be streamed over WiFi. Each user can be immersed in their own 360 environment, rather than watching 360-degree video in VR space.
Currently LensPass only supports Gear VR and Google Daydream phones, such as Pixel.
The customer's software subscription includes the management of two devices and the ability to add devices. WeLens can provide related hardware products, but these need to be purchased extra. Hasak said that WeLens has achieved more than 200 people and the scale of the show. There is no theoretical limit to the number of screenings.
