The touch screen is composed of a touch detecting component and a touch screen control device (as shown in FIG. 1); the touch detecting component is configured to detect a user touch position, and the receiving touch screen controller is received; and the main function of the touch screen controller is to receive from the touch point detecting device. Touch information is sent to the controller, which can also receive commands from the controller and execute them.

The main three types of touch screens are: resistive technology touch screen, surface acoustic wave technology touch screen, and capacitive technology touch screen. Among them, the resistive touch screen, with its low price and good responsiveness to finger and stylus touch, covers 2/3 of the more than 100 touch screen component manufacturers, making it the most sold touch screen product in the past 5 years. Here, we will focus on the four-wire resistive touch screen according to the touch screen controller to be designed.
The screen part of the resistive touch screen is a multi-layer composite film matched with the surface of the display. It consists of a layer of glass or plexiglass as the base layer, and the surface is coated with a transparent conductive layer, which is covered with an outer surface hardening treatment and smooth defense. The scratched plastic layer, which is also coated with a transparent conductive layer, has a plurality of fine (less than one thousandth of an inch) transparent isolation points between the two conductive layers to insulate them. When the finger touches the screen, the two conductive layers that are normally insulated from each other have a contact at the touch point position, because one conductive layer turns on the 5 V uniform voltage field in the Y-axis direction, so that the voltage of the detection layer changes from zero. If it is non-zero, the ON state is detected by the controller, A/D conversion is performed, and the obtained voltage value is compared with 5 V to obtain the Y-axis coordinate of the touched point. Similarly, the X-axis is obtained. The coordinates, this is the basic principle of the four-wire resistive touch screen, the principle is shown in Figure 2.
