In the afternoon, Frank Vitz, AMD's immersive technical director, revealed the direction of cooperation between AMD and the game engine. AMD free repository GPUOpen

AMD immersive technical director Frank then introduced AMD's open source repository GPUOpen. GPUOpen is AMD's tool library for developers. It contains a large number of software SDKs, APIs, tools and template code, and all resources are freely available for developers to download, such as Liquid VR, True Audio Next, TressFX hair effects, etc. .

Frank added: "Our strategy is to win support for developers by providing truly useful solutions. Our goal is to provide features that can run on all GPUs and make them free, so there is GPUOpen. ."

AMD set up an experience zone just outside the main venue to provide a series of experiences and introductions for participating audiences, including Virgin Interactive's VR game "Bullet Sorrow" experience; AMD TressFX 4.0 technology (dynamic hair effects); Multi GPU multi-graphics crossfire technology; AMD new generation Vega architecture graphics features; High Dynamic Range (high dynamic lighting rendering, etc.).

Bullet Sorrow's preemptive experience version landed on Steam at the end of last year and has performed well since its launch. It is currently the only Chinese-made VR game that can top Steam on the global scale. The official version was on Steam on April 18th. Oculus will be on the line in May. Sony will visit Sony State Line during July China Joy. It is expected that the three platforms of PSVR, Steam, and Oculus will be played at the end of July.
