Following the development of LED lighting certification standards for incandescent, halogen and fluorescent lamps in 2008-2009, South Korea plans to replace LED lighting certification standards for all existing lighting in 2010~2012.
In order to build a stable growth base for LED lighting, Korea is not only planning to differentiate the LED lighting related parks, but also to strengthen the vertical integration of the LED lighting industry, and will strengthen the patent capability of LED lighting through the construction of patent databases.
