[High-tech LED News] Skyworth Digital <00751.HK> announced that the sales volume of Skyworth TVs in June was 459,000 units, a decrease of 7% compared with the same period of last year. Among them, the sales volume of TV sets in China's color TV department was 369,000 units, compared with the same period last year. It fell 2%, and flat-panel TVs sold 368,000 units, which was the same as last year.
Among them, LED TV sales reached 149,400 units, a 65% increase over the same period last year, accounting for 41% of flat-panel TV sales. Sales of 3D TVs continued to rise, accounting for about 17% of flat-panel TV sales in June.
Skyworth China Color TV Division's total TV sales and sales in April-June 2011 increased by 6% and 14% respectively over the same period last year. In the first quarter of this fiscal year, the gross profit margin recorded an increase over the same period last year. In the same period, the total sales of LED LCD TVs in the overseas TV division increased by 4,675% and 610% respectively year-on-year.
