After six years of research and development, Pagani's hand-built supercar Huayra Roadster finally appeared at the 2017 Geneva Motor Show. The car is limited to 100 vehicles and starts at 2.28 million euros.
The founder of Pagani, Horacio Pagani, said that the process of building the car was the most complicated in history. The most obvious feature is the new carbon fiber glass movable roof, which makes it lighter overall than other convertibles. The car is a stunning blue carbon fiber body. The weight of the car is only 1280 kg, while the coupe of the same model is 1350 kg.
The seat of the Huayra Roadster is tapered and closes behind the car. Large venting holes at the rear of the front wheel. The tail is equipped with a central four-out exhaust tail pipe.
The Huayra Roadster is a rear-drive mode with the same engine as the coupe version: the 6.0-liter twin-turbo Mercedes AMG V12 engine with a 7-speed single-clutch gearbox with 764 horsepower and a peak torque of 1000 Nm. The coupe power is 722 hp. In addition, the Huayra Roadster accelerates from zero to 96 km/h in less than 3 seconds.
