According to the “Announcement on the Approval of the Release of 61 National Standards” issued jointly by the General Administration of Quality Supervision, Inspection and Quarantine and the National Standardization Committee, as of October 1, this year, inverter air conditioners, flat panel TVs, washing machines, air energy heaters and range hoods Waiting for five categories of home appliances will begin to implement new energy efficiency standards.

After the implementation of the new energy efficiency standards, it has the greatest impact on air conditioners and washing machines. According to the new energy efficiency standard for inverter air conditioners, the current level 1 and 2 energy efficiency air conditioning will be downgraded by one level, and will be changed to level 2 and level 3, and a higher standard level 1 energy efficiency rating will be added at the same time, which means that the current level 2 energy conversion efficiency The products will be downgraded to the market entry level, and now the three-level variable-frequency energy efficiency products will not be allowed to continue production and sales. In terms of washing machines, the current level 1 energy efficiency of the drum washing machine will be equivalent to the new standard level 5, which means that now all grades 2 to 5 energy efficiency products will be eliminated. According to industry estimates, more than 30% of air-conditioning products and more than 50% of washing machines will be eliminated.

Faced with a large number of products that fail to meet the new energy efficiency standards will soon be withdrawn from the market, home appliance retailers have started to aggressively reduce prices.
