Introduction of MOTEC-iGate Turnstile Intelligent Control System (Option 1)
Abstract: This scheme adopts the structure of single-axis brushless servo driver + brushless servo motor + rotary transformer. The motor directly drives the gate, which makes the motor feel more sensitive to external forces, so that more sensitive protection can be achieved. Using a resolver capable of remembering the absolute position as a position sensor, the controller can still obtain the actual position of the gate, even if the gate is powered off and restarted, without performing a zero return operation.

The MOTEC-iGate Turnstile Intelligent Control System (Option 1) has the following features:
(1) Direct-drive brushless motor structure with brushless DC motor, no gear reducer, making the motor feel more sensitive to external forces; (2) using CAN bus communication between drivers;
(3) As the position feedback component of the resolver, the controller can still remember the position of the gate after the power is cut off;
(4) Built-in dedicated door control function;
(5) The driving voltage is 24VDC to 75VDC, and the maximum current of the driver is 12A;
(6) Integrate motion control and drive functions and integrate PLC functions;
(7) 8 optically isolated input ports, 3 optically isolated output ports, 1 analog input port, and reusable holding brake interface; (8) RS232 and RS485 communication methods, and multiple cascades to form a network system ;
(9) The built-in S-curve trajectory planning function makes the door opening and closing process more gentle and will not overshoot;
(10) Randomly provide upper computer debugging software, dynamic link library and system instruction set for user system development;
(11) Provide remote fault diagnosis and system commissioning services.
2. Structure diagram of MOTEC-iGate gate control system (Option 1)
MOTEC-iGate servo system can use two drivers to control two brushless servo motors, and the drivers use CAN bus to establish communication. When the MOTEC-iGate system is applied to the door drive system, the structure of the system is shown in Figure 1.

3. MOTEC-iGate gate intelligent control system (scheme 1) function and impact processing method
3.1 System FunctionsThe function of MOTEC-iGate system is described as follows:
(1) PC can achieve seamless connection to MOTEC-iGate system through RS232 or RS485 function;
(2) The host computer can realize operations such as locking, releasing, opening, closing, returning to zero, and holding the brake on the gate, and can obtain the real-time information of the drive.
(3) MOTEC-iGate handles collisions during door opening and closing to prevent accidents;
(4) In the closed state of the gate, MOTEC-iGate has the function of preventing forced switching;
(5) MOTEC-iGate has an intelligent fault handling function. It can return to its original state no matter what state the gate is subjected to.
(6) The return-to-zero mode of the gate can be to find Z pulse return zero, zero position switch zero return or zero return in the manner of blocking rotation;
(7) MOTEC-iGate has remote fault diagnosis and testing capabilities.
3.2 When the gate is impacted:
Door open -> door impacted -> brake (short time, eg 1 second) -> brake release -> gate slowly returns to closed state -> wait for a certain time -> gate opens again;
Close -> door impacted -> brake (short time, such as 1 second) -> brake release -> gate slowly returned to open the door -> wait for a certain time -> gate closed again;
The gate is closed -> the door is impacted -> the brake (short time, eg 1 second) -> check the gate closed -> if the gate is open, the gate closing action is performed; otherwise the gate continues to brake 10 seconds -> Release brake -> Perform door closing action -> Turn off the brake.
The processing of the above emergency situations does not require the intervention of the host computer, but is done by the MOTEC-iGate driver itself.
3.3 gate setting software
The gate setting software iGateSetting has the functions of setting the gate driver MOTEC-iGate, system commissioning and other functions. The parameters and functions that can be set through iGateSetting are:
Setting parameters:
(1) The way to find the zero position of the gate (zero position switch, encoder Z pulse, stall mode), set the direction of zero return;
(2) Position parameters of the motor encoder when the gate is in the direction of entry, closing and exit;
(3) Open door setting;
(4) The setting of the speed, acceleration and jerk of the gate shall set the speed of the gate when the door is opened, closed, and returned to zero, and the speed of the brake when the switch is in the process of encountering an impact after the switch is turned on;
(5) Control gain settings, including: position ratio, integral, differential gain settings, speed proportional gain, speed and acceleration feedforward gain settings, anti-interference interval and factor settings;
(6) Maximum position error, peak current, average current and time setting;
Main functions: control mode settings; motor Enable, Disable; open, close; parameter save function; manual send command; manual start / release brake;
3.4 System Remote Service
In order to provide users with better and more timely services, facilitate system debugging and reduce equipment downtime, MOTEC Service Center provides MOTEC-iGate remote service for remote debugging and fault diagnosis of the system. All the customer needs to do is to drive the device. The upper computer can be connected to the Internet.
