High- tech LED: Can you give us a detailed introduction to high-voltage LED driver products using HVX technology?
Shri Dodani : We have three main products, the HPX series, the LVX series and the HVX series. The EXC100 is the first in the HVX series. It is a single crystal power supply for high voltage LEDs. This extremely low-cost drive uses very few components. For example, a 10 watt power supply requires only 10-15 components including the board. By integrating all of the control functions required for high-voltage AC operation, it is more cost effective than a DC solution and requires less overall power system. The HVX product line features plug-and-play design with high efficiency, high power, low electromagnetic interference, high reliability and long life.
High-tech LED: What advantages does this series have over other similar products?
Shri Dodani : First of all, the number of parts is reduced compared to the conventional ones, such as transformers, electrolytic capacitors, anti-interference and other components, the same function, the same drive power, with a small single chip can replace the original solution. In the absence of electrolytic capacitors, the lifetime can be greatly improved.
Secondly, the LED itself will be hot and need heat sink cooling. The temperature inside the LVX solution product is not allowed to exceed 65 degrees, and the temperature inside the HVX can exceed 100 degrees, so the demand for the heat sink can be reduced.
Third, this product also supports dimming of thyristors.
