DC circuit breaker

What is a DC breaker:
DC breaker is a mode change or removal of the fault current circuit breaker system. It is used for overloading and short-circuit protection of facilities and electrical equipment of DC power distribution system, and can be widely used in electric power, post and telecommunications, transportation, industrial and mining enterprises and other industries.

Low voltage DC circuit breaker

The working principle of DC circuit breaker:
The main circuit of the flow breaker comprises a lower connecting row for supporting the moving contact, an upper connecting row and a silver-plated contact on the surface, and the closing device is composed of a large can magnet with a closing coil. The magnet houses a moving core, a contact pressure spring and a core return spring; all of these components are mounted on the operating rod. The fork unit is mounted on the top of the lever. The overcurrent trip device comprises an armature consisting of laminated sheets, a moving core connected to a spring-controlled operating rod, the trip setting being set by the action of the rod. The five pairs of auxiliary contacts are the reversing contacts controlled by the moving contacts. They are located in a plastic box at the bottom of the closing device. The arc chute includes gussets, partitions and deionization plates, all of which are mounted between the two arc extinguishing plates. When the circuit breaker is opened due to overcurrent or normal opening command, the propulsion mechanism will drive the moving contact to open. The propulsion mechanism also acts on the five reversing auxiliary contacts.

High voltage DC circuit breaker

DC breaker type:
1. Two-stage DC circuit breaker. The two-stage DC circuit breaker works correctly with good short-circuit current in the range of 8 to 10 times of the rated current of the upper switch and 4 to 5 steps.
3. Three-stage DC circuit breaker. Three-stage DC circuit breaker, the upper stage is three-stage, and the lower stage is two-stage or three-stage DC circuit breaker. The step difference is level 2, and the short-circuit current is in the range of 25 to 40 times of the rated current of the upper circuit breaker. .

The difference between the AC circuit breaker of the DC breaker:
The main difference between DC breakers and AC breakers is the ability to eliminate arcing. Because each cycle has a zero crossing, it is easy to extinguish the arc at the zero crossing, and the DC switch has no zero crossing, and the arc extinguishing ability is very poor, so an additional arc extinguishing device should be added. In general, the DC is difficult to extinguish the arc, and the exchange has zero crossing, and arc extinguishing is easy.
